On September 19 and 20, 2019, the Ensuring Value in Research (EViR) Funders’ Forum held its 7th meeting in Washington, DC, hosted by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and co-conveners National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), ZonMw, Health Research Board (HRB) Ireland and Health and Care Research Wales (HCRW). Forum members participated both in person and via webinar.

On November 2, 2017, the Ensuring Value in Research (EViR) Funders’ Forum held its 4th meeting in Washington DC, USA, hosted by Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and co-conveners National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), ZonMw, Health Care Research Wales (HCRW) and Health Research Board (HRB) Ireland. The meeting was held in conjunction with PCORI’s third Annual Meeting.
1st EViR Funders’ Forum meeting September 2016
On September 28, 2016, ten funding organisations met virtually and in London, UK, hosted by National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The meeting was held in conjunction with the AViR NIHR Meeting.
The group met to consider:
- Establishing an informal international funders forum to share solutions that reduce waste or add value in research.
- A proposal for a larger more inclusive meeting in 2017.
- The three to five year vision for avoiding waste/adding value.
